I was inspired to create this care package site when I found out that my husband was being deployed overseas for at least a year. At first I did not want to believe it or think about the deployment but after reality set in I realized our relationship was going to be through the mail for a year. This will be the second deployment for my soldier and he told me that care packages and letters were what kept him going on his first deployment. After hearing this I began to think of all the fun care packages I could do for my husband to keep him going while he is on his deployment and to keep myself from missing him so much. This care package site is dedicated to providing ideas to help soldiers while away from home as well as families who are looking for fun care package ideas for their friends and family in the military.
