  Get your friends and
family together and let them all know when your soldiers birthday is coming up.  This way to can get as many people as possible to send lots of birthday wishes to your soldier so they will know how much they are missed and their birthday was not forgotten!

Send a birthday party in a box.  Create a themed party with noise makers, balloons, party hats, place settings and goody bags for about 10 people.  Include birthday treats that your soldier can share with friends.  Send a digital camera along with the package so they can take pictures and send them home.

Easter

Its always a must to put together an Easter basket full of candy!  You can really get creative with this.  Some stores even carry camouflage plastic Easter eggs to give it that personal military touch.  Fill the basket not only with candy, but with pictures from home and small items your soldier may need such as hand warmers.

4th Of July

Create a 4th of July photo frame and decorate it with lots of red, white and blue.  Then, get your family, friends and pets together dressed in their patriotic gear and get the perfect picture for your soldier.

Create a chain of red, white and blue stars.  One each one, write why your soldier is your hero or why you are proud of them for what they do.  It will be a great reminder of why we love them for doing their job as well as a decoration for their room.

Halloween

Send your soldier 'Halloween in a Box'.  Send lots of candy in one of the big orange pumpkin baskets!  In addition to all sorts of candy and treats, send decoration that the soldiers can put up around their living space.  The spider webs we all see at Halloween are a great idea because they are easy to hang.

Create a football game day package.  Include items like a football, peanuts, chips and their favorite teams current stats or roster.  Be sure to include any sports gear from their favorite football team like a team flag or jersey.

Christmas

Send your soldier a small Christmas tree that they can decorate for themselves.  Send lights that can be put on the tree as well as hung around their living area.  Be sure to pack fun ornaments that can be hung on the tree.  If you got your soldier any small gifts for Christmas, wrap them up and write a note saying to put these gifts under the tree and they are not to be opened until Christmas morning!

Make ornaments for your soldier that have a personal touch.  Decorate Christmas balls with motivating quotes.  Create ornaments that have pictures of family, friend and pets on them!

Create and advent calendar with any theme you want.  It could be a religious, motivation or Christmas spirit theme.  Behind each calendar day put pictures, quotes or any message you want to send to your soldier to let them know how much they are missed during the holidays.

Send your soldier items that are holiday scented!  This way their living area will be filled with scents of Christmas and home!  Please note that you cannot send candles but the scented pine cones are always a good idea.
