If you know of a child between the ages of 8- and 11- who has a deployed parent overseas, I humbly offer a story I just uploaded to Amazon titled "SPANKY: A SOLDIER'S SON." After his father is shipped to Afghanistan, Spanky struggles to make Dad proud but ultimately faces his fears and learns the meaning of heroism. I hope you like it. Here is the Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/SPANKY-A-Soldiers-Son-ebook/dp/B006NU4AKW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1324611084&sr=8-1

Great website. This is my second deployment Im going through with my boyfriend. I dont really have anybody to talk to about his deployments because none of my friends have a bf in the military so they dont understand how hard it is on both of us. Any military wives/girlfriends with advice is greatly appreciated. Please dont count me out because alot of the wives in his unit have told me they wont associate with me simply becuase I am "just a girlfriend" so I really dont have anybody to go to. Thanks, and God Bless all the Soldiers and your families! (:

Great site. We are about to make a shipment to Afganistan and it was time to check on the current supply problems from the muddy-boot-perspective so we can include care packages in our crates to a couple of FOB's. Many thanks, Ed

This website was very informative. My church is gathering items on your list to create care packages to send to the troops. Does anyone know where we can send them? Your help is very much appreciated.

I was wondering if there are any support groups for family members of deployed soldiers for after they come back. I have met families who need help dealing with soldiers who have PTSD and they have no idea what to do. I live in MS do you know any local groups in south MS or South AL? Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
